Dr Ashok is very knowledgeable and is very empathetic. She listens to patients and is clearly interested in helping patients improve their conditions and quality of life. She is also cheerful and approachable. My rheumatoid arthritis has been greatly alleviated due to her knowledge and care.
I would highly recommend her and consider myself lucky to have been under her care.

Dr Ashok is personable, calm, considered and very knowledgeable. She got to the root of my issue that lots of others have missed. She has been flexible with her time and clear with her explanations.
It has been such a relief to receive a prompt diagnosis and treatment that has enabled me to return to normal life' so quickly.

Fantastic consultant with an excellent bedside manner. More importantly you get the feeling that she cares.
Went to see her as she treated a friend of mine who recommended her. Found her to be really good. Did an injection on me which sorted out the problem and I barely felt it.

I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2008 and have broad experience in the diagnosis of all musculo-skeletal rheumatic conditions. My priority as a specialist is to ensure an accurate diagnosis so that I can provide patients with accurate information about their condition and early management. I have extensive experience in the provision of soft tissue and joint injections for the relief of pain and inflammation and have a particular interest in managing early inflammatory arthritis. I was leading the Early arthritis service in my previous NHS Trust.
Over the years of consultant experience, I have performed a vast number of soft tissue and joint injections for the relief of pain and inflammation.
I was appointed to the Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust in July 2017 as a substantive Consultant Rheumatologist.
Before moving to Chelmsford, for 9 years I was a substantive Consultant Rheumatologist at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, Durham.
